What's fascinating to me before even reading word one is how previous vetters have admitted THPOE made them feel rather unhappy but in a kind of way that was cathartic? A commentary on the Shiny Happy façade we're all told to keep up these miserable latter days perhaps. This in itself is a unique literary accomplishment and I'm intrigued.
