Dear capital managers:
I would be very pleased to submit a work of short fiction to be published in Total Quality Reading. The story is entitled "Justice For Shawn" and it runs at 7,760 words, excluding title, by-line and scene change markers. During the murder trial of her mentally challenged brother, Sydney Manness is calling for the mothers of former out-of-control teens to be brought to justice. However, one thing stands in the way: the “good and innocent” younger siblings of two of the teens, who are rallying around their mothers with hopes that they don’t go to jail. In order to see justice, Sydney must persuade them to change their minds. She has a way that will bring them closer than drive them further away. Now, Sydney has to hope for justice... and success.
As a content warning, this venture contains scenes of child abuse and strong language. Please also be advised that this is a simultaneous submission and still has yet to be published in any format.
