Moo! Moo, moo, moo moo moo.
<Rant alert>
The Bull has been watching Joey B vs. the World. While the Bullmeister doesn’t agree with some of Joey’s political views, he does agree that society is going down the crapper. It’s simply ugly.
TQR receives its share of capital submissions and is forced to reject a majority of them. Usually, it’s because something in the plot or content needs work or simply doesn’t fit in with our groove. We try to offer constructive advice to help our fellow writers improve. We want people to succeed. Shit, yeah, maybe the Bull has been a little touchy about people with credentials the length of a Rice Boy’s driving record subbing here. But that’s because he’s jealous.
Yeah, here’s an unsurprising confession: The Bulldog is also a writer. In fact, he was recruited to read at TQR after his submission was harshly rejected by Rocks. It was bloody. But did the Bull give up? No! He kept on trying to improve his craft and still, he gets continually rejected. Here’s another unsurprising fact: The Bulldog, like most artists, makes little to no coin on his work even when it's accepted.
So, where is this dribble going??
Here: What the fuck is going on? How is it that a person Nairing their butthole is making huge piles of cash while artists and writers struggle to find homes for their well-written capital? It’s gotten to the point where even if something is good, it still can’t find a market.
Why?
Because all the money and views are going to sensationalism and stupidity. People would rather watch some Instagram ho stand in front of a mirror and babble than read something that might make them think. Seriously, magazines are struggling to stay in business and some idiot can mindlessly complain about sugar-free froyo existing in a froyo shop and get millions of views.
This is for real. Idiots get TV shows for making baby noises on Tik Tok. Fuck Tik Tok.
People are getting stupider and they’re content with that. It’s infuriating.
<End Rant>
Novorossiya is a cap about two young, newlywed reporters who investigate the aftermath of an attack on an island around 2048. This Bull had to read it a few times to get a grip on it, and frankly, he’s not entirely sure he’s entirely got it.
However, the tone of this cap is nicely cyberpunk, as Rocks stated. The worldbuilding is interesting and well done considering the length of the cap. The Bull enjoyed deciphering it and trying to solve the twist before getting to the end.
The Bull is on the fence about this. On one hand, he digs the fact that this is obviously crafted with love, but he feels like it could be a little clearer. But maybe the lack of clarity is the point of this cap. The Bull is voting to send this up, even though he has some trepidation. Let’s see what the aquatic one thinks.
