Dear Mr. Rorschalk and Mr. Rox:
As I pour copious amounts of peroxide in my wounds and hold a hefty ice pack to my bruised ego...I gotta say: Thanks. Thanks for reading, but more so thanks for the review that I needed. Because you know, the venture of how this venture came to be IS what this venture is about, and that's a path I've been on with my writing overall that this review compels me to abandon for higher ground. So in a way, thanks for not accepting my tale and thanks for compelling a major self-reevaluation and course correction.

Good to see you are taking this in the spirit of fellowship and goodwill with which it was intended, save the ice pack and bruised ego. Rockefeller and myself are pin cushions for the slings and arrows of this harrowing world of the fiction publishing game. A word of advice here and encouragement there sometimes find the mark and courses are changed. As one of my fave songs from the 80's goes, Illusions are painfully shattered right where discovery starts. Bless Neil Peart, and go with God my son.

Thanks for the response. Thick skin is the mark of an experienced writer. I hope you treat it more as you would any writers' workshop hack critique than some omniscient review by an unbiased, objective expert. Okay, maybe somewhere toward but still well shy of the middle. Saul Bellow said, "Use your life, that is your material." Even though I'm not exactly sure how he meant it, I think I'd concur, and it's something to keep in mind. I hope I haven't steered you too far off that course.
