Dear Mr. VC,
Thank you for the submission. We're currently in the process of cleaning up our backlog of submissions that have been on hold due to the clandestine resignation of one of our floorites (aka slush readers). I'm currently trying to get someone on to help out poor Rockefeller, the only slush reader left on the floor these latter daze.This is all to say that your submission may be in stasis for a while here at TQR, in other words, a state of perdition and neglect not unlike the way I treat my wife these latter daze, but then that's personal and a whole 'nother story which, perhaps, takes me out of the role of protagonist in the play at TQR, and into the one of heartless villain, a role I am not ill equipped to handle, but then that is beside the point, too. If this happenstance is not a deal breaker, we'll get around to your capital venture as soon as we can and please let us know immediately when/if it's accepted elsewhere.
