In World War 1 England, being a conscientious objector was unacceptable. Thomas Miller is assigned the alternate service as a stretcher bearer on the French Front. He demonstrates that courage is not just physical.
johnVC has published his work in numerous anthologies in England and the United States. Although he focuses on historical fiction about World War 1, he has also published in other genres. His non-fiction includes articles on political psychology, history and teaching using role-playing games. He is currently a teaching professor at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
