Dear capital managers at TQR:
Please consider "Play in Time," 8880 words, a romantic venture that involves time travel, Shakespeare, original pronunciation, and a thirty-two year- old girl who really wants to lose her virginity.
My ventures have appeared widely (I've published over 200) in such journals as Eunoia Review, Amarillo Bay, Fiction on the Web, Literally Stories, Fornax, Psaltery & Lyre--scores of others. I have published four novellas, quite a lot of poetry, and academic articles (I am a retired English professor). I've long admired TQR and wanted to be a part of it.

I am a business man, so the road's not going to be easy, but as long as your good stuff is Captain Kirking to bear(sic) the band who knows, it may slap our ass and call us Sally. With all that being said, I do wish you the best of luck. Oh, and by the by, do you need a job (ie non paying labor of love slush reading type thing)?

Our submissions are very few. I got three in the last few days and thought I was going to have a heart attack! I hadn't received any for what seemed like months before that. We'd love to have a credentialed colleague on staff. And where else can you (sic) a cartoon character commenting on capital ventures? Of course, you'd have to digest the lingo but after a gew(sic) go rounds it's second nature.

Good choice. I will stumble my way through the log in process with you since it's been a while. Again, welcome aboard. It's very laid back around here, but that doesn't mean you can't create your own personal narratives on the floor. Check out some of the stuff Doomey used to do. He just dropped of the map a few months ago, leaving a gaping hole in TQR's existence.

Sorry for not contacting you sooner on the matter, but since you're still on the wheel of fortune, so to speak, in regards to publication here at TQR it would be a conflict of interest to bring you on now. I've got guevara cued up for you should you wish to do so once our capital business is done. I figured you would be aware of the conflict and thus why no contact about the Floor gig for so long, but I thought it would be a professional courtesy to reassure you of what exactly the hold up is/was. Thank you for your patience and Play In Time should be adjudicated shortly, for better or worse.
