Dear Theodore Q. Rorschalk
Thanks for the heartening comments at the floor. However, the reviewers at The Terminal have not been so charitable. Instead, there were disagreeable comments. It is one thing to decide not to publish but another thing to be loud and unreasonable about their lengthy explanations for not publishing. In all fairness, I did not find other published stories in TQR magazine publishing worthy.
I accept that the writing may have been clumsy and had errors. In a few places, it was not show and only tell. But regarding the plot and the character's issues and challenges, my story was accused of plot holes (why did the aliens communicate in ancient languages?) What's wrong with that? Why does it need to be explained?, measly skates (stealing air)L how's stealing air measly? Because the editors cannot imagine stealing air because air is all-pervasive?, and so on. Imagination is the foundation of fiction. It is sad the editors do not have a positive approach to the story. Moreover, I find a certain bias in the approach your editors have to Western science fiction and the ones from Asia, India. You want our stories to fit into the skewed perception you have on India, that is, berating ourselves.
I will never ever send any of my stories, however 'workshopped' or improved they have been to your magazine anymore. Thanks for the nasty comments.
Regards

Dear VC,
I appreciate the positive negative feedback. You did not threaten us, just voiced your disapproval of our process and for that we shall certainly take note. I wish the best of luck to you and your work in the future. All I can say is TQR is an acquired taste. Perhaps the VC that do like us have a bit of the masochist inside them. Dunno.
Bon Chance
