Many thanks for your recent submission, Watering the Family Tree, for our consideration here at TQR.
As I read, I wondered a lot about Omi. We know from your text she's a big influence on your protagonist but rather than the narrative hints it might be more interesting as backstory to include some specifics. Readers want to follow a storyline but they need more than the narrator's word that there's substance behind the premises expounded upon, if that makes sense. It is but one opinion.
Watering the Family Tree is not for us, mon amie, but we wish you well anyway.
