Thanks for considering my venture, the Last Station. When I looked into this site, I was intrigued by the process. I was hoping for something “actionable” in terms of feedback.
I’ve been published enough to know that I can, in fact, sneak work past people who are not me. I’ve been rejected enough to know that being turned away is usually met with messages that are bland. As I read about your process, I was hoping that, even if rejected, I’d get something that I can build on.
“Carols” feedback [of] the Last Station, is gibberish; there’s nothing constructive in this mess. Nothing that points to craft. Nothing that says “Hey, Sir, you messed up, but here is where you did.”
I’ll grant, for the sake of argument, that I sent you [crapital], but at least it’s coherent. Carol’s response to it is positively useless; self congratulatory, intellectual masturbation, served with a side of “Wow. Who needs to make sense?”
I also noticed that I am one of the only people to be named in full, first and last. Not even my pen name. So thanks for that.
I can handle insults. I’ve had enough rejection letters sent my way. I’m very sorry to say that “Sorry, we don’t want this,” would have been a far more useful response to me.
And that’s sad.

The floor's responses vary in actionable content. It's a mixed bag, and it's not for artists who take themselves too seriously. I'll fix the name drop.
