Mr. Rorschalk,
I hope this message finds you well. I was just checking in on the status of “The Last Station,” on the floor—periodic checks on that forum have shown that other works have come and gone further, or gotten rejected, after mine was received.
This is not a compliant to that; it’s your magazine and you may have editors who read different things and who work on different timelines. I just wanted to make sure that the submission didn’t get lost in the abyss.
Kind Regards, johnVC

Yes. I have a capital manager who's MIA at the moment. Christmas break I reckon. So...let me check with him to see if he plans to return shortly or if I can hand this off to someone else. I will let you know what I find out. I am just thrilled that someone is actually reading our forum!
Best wishes, TQR

Rorschalk forwarded a copy of the above inquiry to said capital manager, with a brief massage of his own:
I told him I'd inquire about his cap to you. I told him you usually take a Christmas hiatus. If you want me to hand this off to Dep, just let me know. She's got a lot of making up to do!

Mr. Rorschalk,
Indeed, I have read the forums. They are certainly unique.
I have glanced at them enough to know that in the statistically likely event that my capital is rejected, that the rejection notice will at least be more interesting than "Unfortunately.....blah blah blah."
I have received so many bland notices (for which many publications can be forgiven), that I think I would rather be insulted than told that my submission was up to fortune. When does the word "Unfortunately" ever really apply to a story that was not, in any sense, rejected on the basis of chance?
Good day.
