I have taken the liberty of enclosing my short venture, “Jeannie and the Detective.”
Mr. Bigelow, a private detective, recovers from an attempt on his life for trying to take the title character, a fourteen-year-old girl, from her drug-dealing boyfriend, Lonnie Hazel, and get her back to Omaha. Meanwhile Phil Harte, Hazel's debtor, a women Hazel stole money from, and Skunky Pjorik, Hazel's confederate, conspire to steal Hazel's lock box.
This single submission runs approximately 10,850 words.
I am a published writer. My most recently publications were in several iterations of Conceit, in Tuck Magazine in Clever and in CounterPunch. My venture, “Under the Weather,” was chosen for inclusion in 2016 Best New Writing.
