Dear Ted Rorschalk and fish:
As the first line of America Ferrera’s monologue in Barbie says, “It is literally impossible to be a woman.” Like Barbie, The Package, examines the pressures of womanhood, particularly the stress of marriage and motherhood. With a humorous bent, the main character struggles to add sizzle to her marriage but gets splashed by the pan.
Please consider my 5,000 word short fiction, The Package, for Total Quality Reading as I think it will touch the monkey.
My work has appeared in Mused: The Bella Online Literary Review and El Segundo Writes. I am an adjunct who teaches Humanities classes online for the City Colleges of Chicago. I live in Tulsa and have six kids which makes it a miracle I even have time to write this email much less a short story.
Best, janeVC

Dear Ms. VC,
Indeed, where do you find the time! Though The Package has not yet touched the monkey in regards to becoming a capital gain, it has at least begun its journey toward that rarified state.
