This cap kicks off with a transcendent description of the experience of listening to hard rock, with prose so enthusiastic it borders on purple.
After that, it settles down, and tells of a seasoned road manager struggling to keep his band afloat, motivated so strongly by his passion for the music that he is prepared to do dire things.
The depths that he falls to - committing murder for money and justifying his actions under the veil of vengeance - feel like an origin story setting us up for a broader arc, but here serve as the twist ending.
There's a scene in the 1984 Best Picture winner Amadeus in which Emperor Joseph II says of Mozart's music, "An excellent effort... of course, occasionally, it seems to have too many notes." That's how I feel about this piece. The writing is excellent, but there's such a lot of it. Attrition by adjectives. Even the title is 10 words.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it. And yet...
Perhaps, in the end, history will once again fall on Mozart's side, but for now I'm voting no.

Moo, moo, moo, moo, moo, bitches!
The Bull is going to keep it short and to the point today, since he's still dealing with shit and more shit.
This cap was decent but too much of it was devoted to the set up. Sure, the descriptions were excellent and well-written, but the build-up was just too much for a short punchline-like outcome.
I agree with he fishy one on this. The pacing is off.
So while it's not bad, I still say this is a no.
